Neurogenic Integration Technique (NIT)

Neurogenic Integration Technique (NIT) also known as Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is a well known technique and system of understanding stress and trauma release through the body.

Learn to access your bodies inborn mechanism to release and integrate tension, deep and superficial stress, trigger restoration and to find flow and inner silence though Neurogenic Tremoring.

What is NIT/TRE?

Neurogenic Tremoring is found in all mammals, it is our inborn, innate way to free our body and mind from stress, tension and even trauma. It is our genetic inheritance, and therefore by definition a Force of Nature, that lives in your nervous system.

Neurogenic Tremoring however, is not done by your voluntary nervous system. Instead you learn to access the tremor mechanism from your autonomic nervous system located in the brainstem. This makes your body vibrate by itself, automatically. This feels totally different than if shaking by will. With Neurogenic Tremoring you relax into the vibration and let it work through your body in its own, innate way, allowing it to release blockages you might hold, physical, emotional and spiritual.

It allows you to relax deeply, to find peace and an inner quiet. Your body release old patterns and tensions, and finds a new state of being and helps you to integrate this. This is why we call this process Neurogenic Integration through Neurogenic Tremoring, and the way to access the Neurogenic Tremors, we call Neurogenic Integration Technique (NIT).

Siv Jøssang Shields

Siv will teach you the Neurogenic Integration Technique, how to start the Neurogenic Tremoring in your own body, when you want to. It is a uniquely wonderful experience, gentle, yet powerful as you unleash your body’s own Force of Nature.

We can almost guarantee a unique experience unlike anything you have had before, or give a deeper understanding of an experience you might already have had. Most people leave their Neurogenic Tremoring experience with a sense of calm, peace and wonder.

Siv has been teaching this technique since 2010 to hundreds of people both locally and abroad. She is in collaboration with dr David Berceli, the founder of TRE, and colleague Alex Greene to develop and spread the technique on a global plane.

It's easy, yet deeply powerful

The method access our internal, genetic release mechanism that resides in the brainstem of our central nervous system. This is where our stress response /survival state lives and acts from. We access through a simple set of exercises. There is little to no need for individual instruction or analysis, only some adaptations to physical limits for a few people.

This makes the technique invaluable for teaching large groups, also where mass trauma may have happened.

The method is used worldwide and was originally developed for so called hard traumas, soldiers who returned home with PTSD.
It has been taught to emergency personnel, police, military, healthcare professionals, and other high-stress professions that are often exposed to challenging and directly traumatic experiences.

The method allows for the release of physical and emotional tensions and thought patterns, initialized by these experiences so that they no longer holds one captive.

Release stress, tension, trauma, unfold into the flow state continuum and experience true calm and inner silence.

Big promise, and we believe it to be true. We have not seen a method as easily accessible and as effective in all of these areas and yet so gentle and open to mastering self regulation.

Why so? we believe it is a simple answer to that – because this is our genetic inheritance. It is a built in mechanism in our autonomic nervous system that we all have, so it’s completely natural for us to enter it.

This is also why it lends it self so well to be combined with other types of inner work like hypnotic journeys and breathwork.

Important Cacao and Health Information

Cacao is bitter

100% pure cacao is bitter. As with any bitter, too much can make you nauseous. Most drink less than 2 to 3 ounces (57 to 85 grams) of cacao a day. Over time, as your body attunes to the cacao, you may find that you need less cacao to feel the full effect. Less can be more. Pay attention to what your body is telling you.

Antidepressants

Depending on dose, SSRI antidepressants and anti-psychotics are not compatible with the MAOI’s (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors) in cacao. Low to average doses should be ok, people on higher doses should drink less cacao. Check with your doctor.

Heart Rate

Our cacao will raise your heart rate slightly. If an increase in your heart rate could cause a medical problem, drink less. Check with your doctor.

Blood Pressure

Many folks with low blood pressure tell Keith that our cacao (low-caffeine) stabilizes their heart and helps them. Check with your doctor.

Other substances

Our cacao increases blood flow to the brain by 30-40%… so any other substances in your blood will be amplified.

Caffeine

Keith is often asked by people with a caffeine intolerance if they can use cacao. The caffeine content of cacao varies widely amongst cacao varieties and cacao makers. Most find our cacao to have a very low, to no-caffeine feel.

Children

Use less, according to the child’s body weight. It depends on the child. They will let you know. Children who have had an appropriate amount of cacao are more focused.

Pets

Real cacao contains compounds that can kill dogs, cats, parrots, and horses. Don’t let them eat it!
